Mankind and dogs have a long history of bondage and love.  In contemporary world, number of pet lovers is drastically increasing especially dog lovers. The Absence of pure form of Love in between Human relationships is the reason, for this is the change in which is happening between human relationships and emotional values. This leads people to find love from other sources, which results in becoming pet lovers. Dogs having the capacity to love unconditionally, people tend more towards it.

The story of Naanu Mattu Gunda deals with a relationship between Shankara, his wife Kavitha and a dog named Gunda. Shankara a middle class man from a town, leading a decent life with his wife. Due to medical reasons, Kavita is not able to conceive a baby. One fine day, Shankara finds a dog in by chance in his auto rickshaw. Feeling repulsive in the beginning, Shankar grows an emotional bondage with Gunda gradually, It becomes daily routine for both of them,  Shankara  starts to carry Gunda in his auto wherever he travels in auto and even on  duty while carrying passengers. Shankara and Gunda becomes talk of the town, This triggers possessiveness in his wife. Shankar’s wife Kavita gets upset for not having a baby even after getting married for many years. This issue takes a serious turn and Kavitha starts feeling jealous about Shankara and Gunda’s relationship. At one point of time, between the heated conversation, Shankara tells Kavita that even Gunda is also like his son, by this statement Kavita gets deeply hurt that forces her to depart from his life and she  goes  back to her mother’s place after the big fight at home.

How this emotional drama shapes up in between three lives and where this conflict leads in Shankara and Kavitha’s life ?, will they patch up again or not?, What happens to Gunda after this fight ?… The unheard… heart warming… true emotional journey…
